Back Home!

It's been a long time between posts. We left Morro Bay on April 25 and stopped in Porterville to visit Chris, Kristy, Jacob and Cody. Spent 2 days and had a great time. Jacob and Cody are so much fun to be around.

From there we took 2 days to get to Vancouver and had a wonderful visit with Jonathan, Whitney and Ivy, Mark and Michelle and all the associated hords of grandkids and especially Baylor. Janice was able to come down from Alaska and it was so good to see her. It's been too long magoo!

We had to cut our visit a day short because of a major water leak in our RV. What a pain. It was good to get home though. Wanda and I both felt like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. "It's so good to be home."

Since being home we have been chugging down Aleve like crazy as the result of doing tons of yard work and planting a vegetable garden. The end is in sight though.

Oh, and the whole family got a chuckle over Steven's little incident in Augusta. What a great mugshot beaver!!!!!!!!!!

23 Years

We celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversery on April 11. Had a wonderful evening out on the waterfront at Morro Bay. A really great fresh seafood dinner.

Time really flies! It seemed like just yesterday we were married. Now we are looking forward to the next 23 years.

Morphing

I think we have been spending too much time at the beach and maybe eating too much seafood. The attached photo might tell you what I'm talking about. It was taken by friends from Oregon. Wanda and I seem to become full-feathered creatures.

I think we really need to get home fast!

Then and Now

Ran across a couple of pics. One from 1976 in the Moses Lake Control Center and the other from 2007 in the Spokane Control Center. Wow. Forgot I had black hair once.

Kayaking Morro Bay

Finally. We kayaked in Morro Bay. Had to wait for a day with high tide, no wind, pleasant conditions. It all came together today and Wanda led the expedition. Being campground hosts, we don't have to pay anything to take out a kayak.

We were out for only about 45 minutes but next time it will be longer.

We have 2 more months before we head home. Looking forward to that for sure.

Golf/sun/ SCE

Amazing day today. We played golf at the Morro Bay golf course. Beautiful day, about 70 degrees and we paired up with a couple vacationing in the area . After the 3rd hole I began talking to Bob and found out he worked for the Southern California Edison company (SCE), the company I worked for from 1962 t0 1971. Small world. They were a fun couple to play golf with. We had dinner at the Bayside Cafe right on Morro Bay. Saw a beautiful sunset to end a wonderful day.

Oceano Dunes

Went down to Oceano Dunes today where Chris and Kristy and the kids are camping on the sand with their wild looking dune buggy type vehicles. People can just pull their RVs down on the sand anywhere they like and ride the sand dunes up and down the beach. Cool and windy today.
